Our client, an elite FinTech firm, is seeking a highly skilled Platform Engineer / DevOps Engineer to support and evolve a low-latency Linux trading environment. This role blends Platform Engineering, DevOps, Linux Systems Administration, and SRE responsibilities.
Role Overview
You will design, build, and architect automated solutions for scalable deployments across private and public cloud infrastructure. The role involves both project-based work and BAU operations, with a strong focus on automation and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain automated deployment and infrastructure solutions
- Support and optimize low-latency Linux environments
- Work across Platform Engineering, DevOps, and SRE functions
- Design scalable systems across private and public cloud platforms
- Automate BAU processes wherever possible
- Collaborate with engineering and trading technology teams
Core Skills Required
- Strong Linux experience
- Configuration management tools: Chef, Puppet, or Ansible
- Container technologies: Kubernetes, Docker, or Podman
- CI/CD pipelines and automation
- Python scripting and automation
Desirable Skills
- Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Helm, Pulumi, Bicep
- Cloud platforms: AWS or GCP
- Disaster Recovery (DR) planning and implementation
- Block and Blob storage technologies
- High Performance Computing (HPC) environments
