Senior IT Project Manager

Exelon is driving the energy transformation and seeks a results-oriented Senior IT Project Manager to oversee cross-functional technology initiatives. This role manages projects ranging from $250K to $15M, including IT implementations, process improvements, and organizational initiatives, following PMI standards and Exelon’s IT Management Model.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead projects from initiation to closeout, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget compliance
- Develop recovery plans to maintain approved project limits
- Secure and manage project team resources, including contractors
- Communicate project status to sponsors, stakeholders, and executive leadership
- Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, regulators, and external partners
- Perform cost/benefit analysis and feasibility studies for project changes
- Implement process improvements and change management strategies for IT projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Project Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (or 6-9 years experience in lieu of degree)
- 4-7 years of project management or related experience
- Proficiency with project planning, risk management, and reporting
- Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) required; PMP preferred
- Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Knowledge of IT project management tools and frameworks
- Preferred: Master’s degree, PROSCI Certification, ENP-PPM knowledge, and M365/PowerBI expertise
Salary & Benefits
- Salary: $98,400 – $135,300 per year, based on skills and experience
- Annual bonus eligibility: 15%
