Role Purpose

The Accounting Officer, Operations role sits within the Accounting and Compliance Team and is responsible for supporting accounting operations, audit readiness, and financial compliance across multiple entities. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting and strong compliance standards across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial analysis schedules for assigned entities
• Prepare year-end audit schedules and support audit readiness activities
• Prepare Tax Form 990 / 990PF workpapers for assigned entities
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and prepare journal entries (regular, intercompany, and adjusting)
• Run ad hoc financial system reports, including detailed transaction reports
• Act as Finance Department liaison to OSF staff and support the Finance Operations Director
• Serve as secondary approver for expense reports
• Act as U.S. Accounting Subject Matter Expert (SME) for accounting-related projects
• Identify operational gaps and recommend improvements to accounting policies, workflows, and procedures

Ideal Candidate – Essential Criteria

• Bachelor’s degree (BA / BS)
• Strong working knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Experience with NetSuite, Concur, Coupa, banking software, and Salesforce platforms
• Experience supporting audits, financial reporting, and tax activities in an international organization
• Prior experience working in or with non-profit organizations
• Proven ability to collaborate on multi-country or multi-jurisdiction projects
• Strong cross-cultural communication skills and relationship-building abilities

Salary Range

USD $126,000 – $145,000
Final compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
